Hello Demir Yumruk (Iron Fist)

Today I received your your pictures and your nice message, I got very happy. I kissed your picture. I immediately bought a big photo frame and hang it on the wall.

I miss you too, my dear. I hope we will meet you in the future. Probably I am the first one, Berrak Ninen (grandmom) who wrote the letter to you.

You keep this letter so you will read it when you have grown up and you will say what a nice honorary grandmom she was.

As I don’t like internet, I don’t visit your web site. In fact I don’t like internet, because I can’t see very well and I don’t understand it. Let’s send letters each other. I received your letter in 15 days, and wish you could receive my letter in 20 days.

Sweetie, I watch the weather forecast for you; about - 14 degrees I get worried. Your mom looks after you and never makes you catch cold. Don’t be sick, Demir Yumruk OK? If I was alive, I would visit your circumcision ceremony. Wish I would see those days. We perform “Zeybek” and “Karauzum Hebbesi” (folkloric dances) together with your dad. We dance quite well. Your dad teaches you how to play too.  We have nice memories with your parents. Your dad used to eat and sleep, Alper (my son), your mom and I used to play game till the midnight. I am like this kind of grandmom. I am full of life. I realized my loneliness after Alper got married but I got used to it. I had to get used to it. Feryal (Alper’s wife) is very good person too.

Alper loves you very much too.

Demir Yumruk, I have a pain in my leg. I am sick. Become a doctor and look after me. Learn English so well that we will be able to speak. When your parents speak English, I understand but I can’t respond.

It is time to finish the letter now, and kissing you. I kiss your parents. Say hello to your grandmom.

I kiss you. Let’s not forget each other. I love you very much, Demir Yumruk.

Berrak Ninen,

Sakarya / Hendek
